Series: Kyou Kara Maou
Age: Much older than he looks--likely at least 150.
Information: Kyou Kara Maou centers around Yuri, a boy from earth whose soul is that of the next Maou (demon king) of Shin Makoku. When he is suddenly transported there he has to adapt to the role of a king, and Günter's job is to serve as his advisor. He helps him adjust to his kingly duties and to study the history of Shin Makoku. Although he seems like a serious person, he is actually quite silly at times and outright fangirlish for His Majesty ("Heika"). When Yuri cannot be found he will fret all over the castle, sulk, and talk to himself in verse about his longing for the king.
Despite this, he is a very strong warrior and absolutely not to be messed with. He is reliable and knowledgable--the downside to this is that he can be very uptight at times.
Late in the series, Yuri and his escorts must travel back to earth in order to complete a mission. At the last moment Günter, who was to stay behind and take care of the country, realizes that they have forgotten their weapons and supplies. He rushes to deliver the items before the group disappears into a beam of light, but trips and falls in himself. He finds himself standing in the center of a fountain (because water is the catalyst of transport between the two worlds)...surrounded by the towering buildings of the city.
